May 14, 2012 (Oconomowoc, WI): The Oconomowoc Soccer Club is excited to announce the appointment of a new Director of Coaching, Dan Green. On Wednesday, May 9th the Board of Directors at OSC unanimously approved the recommendation of the Director of Coaching Search Committee to hire Dan. Dan will assume the duties for this position immediately. Board President Mark Hansen stated, “The addition of Dan Green brings OSC an expert in the game with local connections that can attract coach and player talent.”
Dan's soccer experience spans twenty years. He was a professional soccer player for 11 years with the Milwaukee Rampage and Milwaukee Wave teams, where he was part of 5 championship teams. He also was a member of the United States National Futsal team.
Dan's past coaching experience involved being a director/coach for the Rampage and Wave Summer camps. He also spent 8 years coaching for the Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club. In addition, he has provided expert goal keeper training at Oconomowoc Soccer Club in recent years.
Currently, Dan is a coach in both the boys and girls soccer programs at Oconomowoc High School. He also directs several goalkeeping clinics each year for the Oconomowoc Soccer Club. He is a Physical Education teacher in Waukesha County and brings a vision for OSC to continue to match an exceptional soccer complex, high quality coaches and engaged players and families.
The announcement of Dan Green as the new Director of Coaching comes on the heels of OSC’s grand opening ceremony for the Ewald Family Pavilion, a half million dollar multi use facility, housing the OSC office, storage, concessions and a classroom for a growing soccer club.

Help Support OSC and your NEW Pavilion! Many of you have asked how you can help your club when work and family schedules make it hard to volunteer your time. Now is your opportunity… We cordially invite you to help your Oconomowoc Soccer Club by donating items to help stock the New Ewald Family Pavilion at Ewald Soccer Fields at Monterey Park. Below is a link to a Target list which includes suggested items that are needed. Our Grand Opening, tentatively scheduled for May 5 is a great opportunity to see our furnished facility including your generously donated items. We hope you will join us!
All you need to do is click Target Shopping List and shop away. Many items listed can be purchased at any store, it’s not necessary to purchase all items at Target. On-line purchases should be shipped to your home for you to deliver to the OSC office to receive your tax deductible receipt. OSC is a non-profit 501c3 organization. All items can be dropped off at the New Pavilion after March 5.

BRICKS FOR KICKS! The Oconomowoc Soccer Club is closing in on our final fundraising target for the park improvement efforts. This final phase involves an engraved brick campaign. Families, teams and local business are encouraged to consider purchasing a brick using the Brick Order Form. Money raised through the Brick campaign will help finalize the donation drive for the pavilion and provide additional funding for paving the existing parking lots.
